If you have been to this part of the country, Lake Havasu, and the surrounding desert. You know that it’s pretty barren. The desert has it’s own beauty though, in the rocks, the colors, and the plants.
After a beautiful sunrise, we went to a true desert oasis.
There is a smaller river, the Bill Williams river, that flows nearby. It is surrounded by thick vegetation, so much so, that it’s a bird refuge. We drove down a dirt road that ended at a nice walking trail. There is no way in the world you could walk there without the trail, it’s that thick.
I love these big old saguaro’s. Like giant desert sentinels.
