Artsy Fartsy Tuesday-Dawn Ross

Dawn Ross creates her wonderful wildlife art using pastels, and colored pencils as her medium. The colors are soft and inviting, yet rich and vibrant. She brings realism ind attention to detail into every piece she creates. Her wildlife pieces are extraordinary, and she also will do pet portraits on request.
Here is a little about Dawn and her work.
Dawn Ross is an avid animal and nature lover. She grew up in central Oregon, spending much time outdoors. Many summers were spent camping in the wilderness and observing wildlife. The beauty of Oregon and her love for dogs inspired her passion for drawing. She began at a young age with her grandmother who was a fine artist in oil paints. Dawn’s art has continued to develop yet seldom deviates from her love of animals and nature. Today, she mostly works in pastels and colored pencils, and occasionally in watercolor and acrylic, sometimes even mixing the mediums in one art piece. Dawn’s work is generally vibrant and realistic with a touch of impressionism or abstract.
Dawn has so much more on her website, so be sure to visit Nature by Dawn and see all the images of her work.

  2. Hi

Dawn did a portrait of my Westie Dougie – I’m from the UK and found out about Dawn’s art through her website. In the UK we pay the earth for talented work like this, so I’ve asked if Dawn will offer our UK customers dog portraits. Highly recommend!
