All the beadwork listed on this page is from the early to mid 1900′s. To my knowledge, most of these vintage Native American beadwork bags were created by the Nez Perce Native Americans. Every piece is unique and completely one of a kind. These all belong to a good friend of mine, and I’m just showing them for their beauty. He has been collecting Native American art for many years, as did his mother before him. Almost all of them are done with very old beads, and that helps date them as the beads are not available anymore. Brain tan leather was used on most of them too. They are to be loved and appreciated for what they are, old and rare pieces of wonderful vintage beadwork.
I’m interested in the Crow bag you’ve photoed on line. Vertebrae design. Is the lazy stitch bar design around the top of the bag a separate piece of beadwork that has been wrapped around the bag? How much is the bag?
Hi Folks,
I’m interested in the Crow bag you’ve photoed on line. Vertebrae design. Is the lazy stitch bar design around the top of the bag a separate piece of beadwork that has been wrapped around the bag? How much is the bag?
Thank you.
Hello,
Bob here in Kansas. I would like to know if the Crow Tobacco Bag is for sale? If so could you email a price? I do not use twitter or face book etc.
Cheers, Bob
