It’s almost time to leave

Our time here in Jackson Hole is about over. We will be leaving either Sunday or Monday and heading to Utah till the end of October. I am not thrilled about leaving here, and even less thrilled about spending time in Utah. I have loved being here, it’s such a beautiful area. The town of Jackson is pretty nice, but it’s the surrounding area that makes it for me. It’s been nice to work outside, and just soak up the positive energy that is around.

I tried out a new bead pattern on a new Stone Spirit I made. I learned some new beading techniques while we were at the Fort Bridger rendezvous. I also was lucky enough to buy some very old and very beautiful beads. This is beaded with size 11 and 12 beads. I have never used size 12′s before, they are tiny.

The campground we have been living in all summer has been fantastic. Animals, great scenery, and now that it’s fall, no people. They closed the loop of the campground we have been in, but said we could stay were we are until we leave. So it’s like we have the whole area to ourselves.

We’ve had some fun times, met some great people, and learned what being a full time RV’er is all about. We aren’t real sure what we are doing next, other than the 6 weeks in Utah. We need to spend the winter somewhere warm, probably Arizona. But that would mean finding a great place to stay there, so we will be on the lookout.

So as we get the first three months of living in the RV behind us, would we change it, would we do something different? Probably not. The only dilemma we really have is storage for all the stuff we need to work. Leather, beads, and more beads. Clay, sculpture tools and stands and stuff. We need to get that part figured out, but other than that, it’s been great.

I wouldn’t change a thing.

  1. Welcome to the Traveling Artist Club… whether we are camping, RVing, hoteling it … it is always a journey. After you are on the road a couple years, you will be amazed what you can live without… Although Ken always carries more tools than he needs. Safe travels, maybe we will see you in AZ!
