Just another great day

Another great day in Jackson Hole

Thursday was a great day, but I wish I had cameras in my eyes so I could take pictures of everything.  It started at the National museum of wildlife art when I went to the yoga on the sculpture trail. We practiced yoga while looking out on the elk refuge. Pretty awesome scenery. Then, a marmot peeked his head over the edge of the trail and watched us. He was standing there, like we were, then he’d leave for a minute. Then he came back with lunch in his little hands and munched away and watched us some more. He then invited his weasel friend, who ran past my mat and made me smile. Yep, I needed a camera in my eyes for that for sure.
I stopped in town to visit with Al, and we went and ate and got coffee. Then I headed back out to the campground. Just as I got to the bridge that crosses the river, there was an animal jam. An animal jam is when wildlife is spotted on the side of the road and everyone stops to take pictures. Of course, I didn’t have my camera. Which was bad, because there was a mom moose and her twin babies not to far from the road. Long legged little cuties. Again, why don’t I have a camera in my eyes.

On a side note……I have been so good abut carrying at least my small camera everywhere, simply because you never know what you will see around here. Uh ya….not today. {sigh}

I did manage to get a picture of the rain though.
Just as I was going to take the dogs walking, it started to rain. I can’t complain about that, it’s been so dry all over the west and rain is badly needed.
Plus sitting in the trailer and listening to the sound of the rain….is heaven.

Do you love the sound of the rain?

  1. I love the sound of rain and the smell to; but mostly I love being in the rain. While walking the dogs in the tall wet wheat grass on our back property the two of them got very wet from running through it and it was though they had a bath from nature. They even smelled good. Thanks for great the post.
