Our new neighbors, the bison

Whenever we drive into Jackson, we pass this nice herd of bison. They’re good neighbors, unless you get in their way, then watch out.

We heard a story the other day about some tourists in Yellowstone who actually thought it was a good idea to try and sit their 4 year old on the back of one of these guys. As you can imagine…..none of that was a good idea.

People forget that this is still a very wild landscape with very wild animals. Just because they are beside the road, doesn’t mean they are tame and you can pet them.
 
This is what draws us to this part of the world, the wild and wonderful part of it all.
