The Taste of the Tetons

Jackson Fall Arts Festival-The Taste of the Tetons

By far one of our favorite things to do during the fall arts festival is go to the Taste of the Tetons. We have missed it the last 2 years, and there was no way we were going to miss it this year. All the major restaurants in town set up tents on the town square. Each restaurant serves one or maybe two dishes and the chefs are right there preparing it.

Each plate is between $1 and $5, a bargain to be sure. The hardest part is deciding which food to purchase. While the portions are small, it would still be impossible to eat at every single restaurant. So we walk around, look at everything, smell all the wonderful smells, and then decide.

Two of the dishes I decided on came from the Four Seasons. These were amazingly delicous!!

There was lamb with special secret spices and sauce, so tender and yummy. Then the fruit buckle with berries, peaches, and a hint of lemon. Served with the most amazing thick and tasty cream. Al got food from Snake River Grill, then went and got this yummy chocolate cake.

This was by no means the only food we ate, it was just the only food I put my fork down long enough to take pictures of.

There is also a small art show going on at the same time, Taking it to the streets. Featuring local artists with everything from jewelry, to painting to photography. Some very unique finds.

I would vote they do this every weekend through out the summer, or at least once a month.
